Three luxury SUVs to watch in 2018 in Indian market

The recent years witnessed almost a boom in automobiles market of India. There have been several new developments in the industry in the country with a huge base of car lovers. Several luxury brands will hit the roads in 2018 in India. Majority new launches in luxury segment being SUVs, this specific market will certain have a boost. The three major brands awaiting to unveil their Indian versions are Lamborghini, Audi, and BMW. Lamborghini will bring the ‘Urus’ and Audi will hit with its ‘Q5’. While, BMW is rolling out the ‘6GT’.

Urus hitting roads as the fastest

Lamborghini Urus is in fact, a Super Sports Utility Vehicle. This car is expected to be a surprise for sports vehicle fans. The model will be unveiled in India a month after it debuts in the International market. As the Italian car maker claimed, it is the first Super Sports Utility Vehicle, featuring several extreme features while being intact with Lamborghini’s ‘unmistakable DNA’.

The exterior of Urus features the single silhouette mark, the brand impression of Lamborghini. The design has elements from LM002, a heritage car from the brand. Its doors are frameless in the line of Marcello Gandini, the iconic version. The interiors are blended in an aeronautic design. There are three TFT screens making the compartment driver oriented. The customizable interior can be transformed accordingly, with more intricate ensembles.

A contrasting feature of Urus is its five-seater capacity, which is first in any Luxury SUV segment. Urus is with adaptive air suspension with active dampers and active rear torque vectoring, among other high-end features. It runs on V8 bi-turbo engine with the best weight-to-power ratio in SUV segment. The car can attain 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.6 seconds. Its top speed is 305 kilometers per hour.

Q5 as off-road king

Audi crafted Q5 as one of its most gorgeous variants. It is made for off-road driving adding strongly to its SUV characteristics. The interiors are highly ergonomic with ample space for both people as well as luggage. It can house 540 liters of luggage. The rear seats as well as the from passenger seats are foldable, and can be reclined. Q5 will hit the road with both its variants in petrol and diesel. Both engine feature 7-speed S-Tronic Transmission. Per the brand, Q5 attains 0 to 100 kmph in 6.5 seconds in diesel and in petrol, the time is 7.2 seconds. The top speed is 225 kmph for diesel and 222 kmph for petrol.

For BMW the 6 Series Grand Turismo is ‘a remarkable evolution’. The highlights are six-cylinder engine and improved aerodynamics. Per claims, it can reach 0-60 miles per hour in 5.1 seconds. The car is designed for luxury of a sedan and a look of SUV. It is equipped with BMW navigation system with voice control. The engine has an output of 35 HP. The interior aesthetics of the car is boosted with an enlarged panoramic moon roof. The headroom is 38 inches and the legroom is 40 inches, with a space for 30 cubic feet of goods.
