Mahira Khan Feels “Empowered” After Her Cannes Debut

Bringing a pride moment to Pakistan, Mahira Khan became the first actor of the country to represent at Cannes. She was launched by L’Oréal Pakistan to walk on the red carpet. 71st Cannes Film Festival 2018 hosted the Pakistani actor as a movie star. Khan was named as the brand ambassador of L’Oréal back in 2017.

In the fest, she was introduced to Stephane Lancien, the global head make-up and hair styling team. She also visited L’Oréal studio at Cannes for video shoots. Another program was the photo session at Martinez Beach. In the festival, she had an official portrait painted by Flavien Prioreau.

Behind her style statement on the Red Carpet were stylists Meneka Harisinghani and Lorna Mcgee. The dress was designed by Maison Yeya, the Dubai based designer. She had a fabulous appearance at the French Riviera along with other Bollywood actors like Sonam Kapoor and Jane Fonda. Both Kapoor and Fonda are L’Oréal representatives.

In her Instagram post after the venue, Khan said that Cannes have a piece of her heart. She thanked the fest for being “warm and generous”. She mentioned that after returning from the festival, she is feeling more empowered. The actress wrote the reason of her feeling is her meetings with ‘amazing women’ at Cannes in its three days venue. She pointed that they had “one thing in common, they lifted each other up.”

Mahera Khan is among the highest paid actors of Pakistan. She won several prestigious awards as a talented artist. Her role in Pakistani drama series ‘Humsafar’ gained her good prominence. In 2012, she was named as the most beautiful women in Pakistan. She was awarded lately at the UK Asian Film Festival for her Contribution to Film and Activism.
