Ducati Superleggera V4 with 230 bhp power is the most powerful bike Ducati has ever produced

Italian superbike maker Ducati has launched all-new Ducati Superleggera V4, the lightweight model with all-carbon bodywork. You will realize this is a very, very special motorcycle when considering the Superleggera V4’s 998 cc motor produces 220 hp in standard trim, but can get pumped to 234 hp when equipped with the aforementioned exhaust. The Superleggera V4 tips the scales at 154 kg dry, losing 2 more kg to 152 kg when the Akrapovic exhaust is installed which is 11kg lighter than the Panigale V4.

The bike Superleggera V4 is made from carbon or composites – the frame, the subframe, the wheels ... even the swingarm is an elaborate carbon construction. Thus, Ducati has managed to trim 6.7kg, which is significant for a high-performance superbike. It also gets a lightweight engine. On the subject of brakes, the latest version of the Brembo MCS adjuster and Style R pads are exclusive to the Superleggera V4.

The hideous wings sprouting from the side fairings also named by Ducati "biplane airfoils" and proudly boasts they give you 50 kg (110 lb) of downforce at 270 km/h (168 mph) to keep the front end hooked to terra firma. The biplane airfoils are also said to improve anti-wheelie characteristics out of high-speed corner exits, and also improve braking stability on the straight.

Ducati has yet to announce a price for the Superleggera V4, and if rumours are to be believed, it will cost a cool $100,000 (around ₹ 71.50 lakh). Deliveries will begin in Europe from June 2020 at the rate of five bikes per day.
